Inter-Library Lending temporarily unavailable

At this time the Library is unable to utilize its contracted Inter-Library lending (ILL) service, provided through Dudley Knox Library’s “Request Article or Book” service. We are working to resolve the issue. We know that ILL is a key component of obtaining access to the information resources necessary for the NPS community to conduct its teaching and research.

 Please use our Library Search to see whether we own or have access to the resource you need.  If we do not have the item, please email us with your request.  If you are a DL user and need a physical item (e.g. a book), please email us whether we own it or not to have the item sent to you.

DKL staff are utilizing other content-access methods and will do our best to find the resources you need as quickly as we can. 

We ask your assistance with the following:

  • If you have submitted requests via our “Request Article or Book” service since July 1, 2021, please email your request information to us.

  • If you have pending requests that were submitted prior to July 1, 2021, please email and let us know as a number of books have arrived, but we are unable to determine the requesters.

  • If you are receiving system-generated overdue notices for items borrowed through ILL that have already been returned to us, please accept our apologies and disregard the notices.  We will reach out to you directly to acknowledge returned items.

  • As lending libraries reach out to us, we will request renewals for items not yet returned to us.
