Operational Energy Certificate Programs

The Naval Postgraduate School is pleased to announce the Operational Energy Certificates Program.

Learn more:

Three stackable certificates have been developed for this program, which aims to provide the opportunity to understand the complex issues facing the Operational and Installation Energy segments of DoD and how they impact Operational Capability issues as well as military requirements. The certificate program is designed to expose students to the technical, operational, and security aspects of DoD’s energy needs.

The OE Certificate Program is open and tuition-free to all U.S. uniformed military personnel, federal civilian employees, and defense industrial contractors. Contractors and international students may apply and will pay tuition for the certificates. All applicants must have earned a Bachelor’s degree.

Each course is delivered asynchronously via a web-based system known as Sakai, the repository of all course materials. Instructors will create weekly modules for students to access and complete. These modules include syllabus, reading materials, power point slides, recorded lectures, homework assignments with solutions, quizzes, and exams.
