Black Sea Security Symposium

7 February 2023

Location: Ingersoll Hall, Room #122
Naval Postgraduate School: Monterey, CA

The Black Sea region is an important arena affecting several critical issues of U.S. national security, including U.S.—Russian strategic competition, freedom of navigation at sea, and European energy security.  The symposium will focus on “The Role of the Black Sea in Global Energy Security” and will highlight the region’s importance in NATO and U.S. security. Ambassadors and ministers from the Black Sea and South Caucasus countries, NATO organizations, as well as senior officials from the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Navy will share their insights regarding issues important to this region.

The event serves as an excellent platform for networking, collaborating, and tackling issues of critical strategic importance between NPS and outside organizations, while bringing together warfighters, scholars, subject matter experts, diplomats and partners, and industry leaders.
